Job Description:

As an assistant accountant you will be required to assist in and complete the following duties

• Work in Conjunction with our chartered accountant to ensure such tasks as payroll and reports are completed accurately and effectively for our New York based control team
• Invoice processing and payment
• Manage cost incurred by the company including Pension Schemes, Payroll, Benefits and Travel Expenses
• Prepare Bi monthly Vat Returns/Monthly Financial Reports
• Contract and vendor management
• Research accounting issues and report presentations for management
• Maintain central repository of all payments, contracts, and other important business documents.
• Understand and assist with Tax Reporting and Issues.
• Special Projects accounting management as business requires.
• Complete other tasks and administrative duties as requested

Skills Required

• Be able to work on one?s own initiative as well as being a team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High competency excel skills? ( Pivot tables, ?if statements?, V-table look ups)
• Public accounting or industry experience a plus
